-= San Francisco - December 2005 pt 2 =-

San Francisco and Fisherman's Wharf would not be complete without a trip to the local Hard Rock Cafe.

This particular Hard Rock Cafe has quite an unusual design, being circular and a wooden construction(I think) but the beams give it a nice atmosphere.

As usual plenty of music memorabilia around the walls - now do we eat and drink or wander around - for you could spend an hour or so wandering around looking at the displays!

This is Deacon Daves, on of the local clergy who literally goes way OTT on his Christmas decorations.

Even the front room is decorated and on display to the visitors.... I was told he has his own subscriber unit from the electric company to supply the power

There is a wishing well and various other points to donate money, and I especially liked the wreath on the front door in which many were stuffing with dollar bills.

Deacon Dave raises much money for charity with these lights and displays, and people come from miles around to see them - well done Deacon Dave!

This is The Mission in Riverside.

We were shown this by some friends. all decked out with decorations for Christmas but almost like a fairy tale with the horse drawn carriages, the teddy bears in the higher alcoves.

Inside there are portraits of presidents past and present. The main room i saw looked like maybe it was once some grand dinning hall in all it's splendor.

I feel I really must take some time out and find out more about this place - I'm sure there is a history there - if you know - email me please?
