Jeff Scott Soto
Trillians September 2005

Trillians lies in the center of Newcastle, one of the local rock and roll venues with a good reputation. It is by no means a big place, and it has quite a low ceiling as well - so circulation is not it's best asset.
Luckily we arrived at the show just nicely in time to get a drink before Jeff's show started. To say it was HOT was an understatement!!

The spotlights went on the stage as Jeff started his spot with all the enthusiasm we have come to expect from Jeff. You can see from the pictures that Jeff works hard to put on a good show - in fact the whole band rocked and the atmosphere was amazing.

I was particularly please to hear "New Position", I just love the guitar bursts in that song, but nobody can do it quite like Neal does, but all the same I enjoyed it. The set was varied between Jeff's own stuff, some Soul Sirkus and also some Journey stuff (which went down very well with the Journey fans present).

I would have liked to have seen a bigger crowd there to support Jeff, but the turnout was probably sufficient for the venue - it was easy to get good position to see Jeff and the band.

After the show Jeff and the band came and mixed with the crowd posing for photo's and signing autographs - it's really nice when a band does this, for me it shows the band is more interested in meeting their fans rather than just making a quick buck and on to the next gig!

I look forward to seeing Jeff with either Soul Sirkus, or I would also go to see him again with Howie, Chriss, and Dave as the guys were also good, and relaxed with the fans as well as showing they have real talent. - hey maybe they might do a spell with Soul Sirkus - that would be awesome!

All I can say in conclusion, is that those who did not go to this show you seriously missed a good night - thanks Jeff .
